ES&S announced today that it has been awarded a contract with Spektra Engineering to supply a high resolution MTSAT meteorological satellite system to the Department of Civil Aviation in Brunei. The new system is scheduled to be commissioned early in 2009 and a comprehensive training program will be provided both in Australia at ES&S headquarters and on site in Brunei. The system will receive and process data from the Japan Meteorological Agency's MT-SAT geostationary satellite. The data will be a key input into the forecasting operations of the meteorological division.

This contract award continues the success of ES&S in supplying leading-edge satellite systems to meteorological and related agencies throughout Asia and the Pacific.
