Australian purchase of US Company EEC

It is with great pleasure that we announce the acquisition of Enterprise Electronics Corporation by an Australian group of business owners and operators committed to growing EEC globally and ensuring it strengthens its position as the global leader in the design and manufacture of weather radar systems.

The new group is led by Colin Cookes, the Chairman of Environmental Systems & Services Pty Ltd which has been the proud supplier of EEC radars to the Bureau for more than 20 years. The two other Australians, Mark Parow and Andrew Israel, have backgrounds in successfully managing engineering businesses, most recently in the global rail air conditioning market, and before that in the car and truck engine cooling systems and industrial fans markets.

The new group has a long term commitment to EEC, ending the frequent ownership changes of recent times. The stability of ownership will enable a long term perspective to be taken in decision making, resulting in the necessary investment required to develop new products and enhance the performance of existing products. It will provide great benefits to customers through a focus on customer satisfaction and providing an environment that enables employees to make decisions and thrive.

Our goal is to ensure that EEC provides the best weather radar technology globally, with products that are installed for use and operational within the specified time frame, and supported for life. We expect that in a relatively short space of time you will notice a new vibrancy in the business and a strong willingness to listen and deliver against customer expectations.

This is undoubtedly the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the long and proud history of EEC. The acquisition brings Australian ownership to the most successful weather radar company in the world and we look forward to working closely particularly with our key customers in building an extraordinary business.
