APIA 2011

The APIA Convention and Exhibition is recognised as one of the most important events in the national energy and infrastructure calender. The event attracts attendees from around the nation, as well as many international visitors.

APIA is a vibrant, active and pro-active industry representative body that is recognised on the national stage. The issues and activities are many, including driver safety training, discussing with government the many regulatory and economic issues faced by the industry, raising the profile of natural gas as the sensible fuel in a carbon constrained future, continuing valuable research into safe and efficient transportation of gas and other fluids, providing guidance to the next generation, assisting with exchange of information to ensure Australia’s pipeline system is maintained at the optimum level, so that this critical infrastructure remains part of the nation’s energy backbone.

This year’s Convention will be held on October 22- 25 at the Sydney Convention Centre. The theme of the 2011 Convention is Pipelines – Transporting Energy for the World. ES&S will be at Stand 63, showcasing the latest fibre optic technology being used for leak detection.
